About Laura Thomae Young

Teacher first. Speaker, author and trainer by experience.

Laura’s work has moved through churches, classrooms, training rooms, writers’ groups and books, but the common thread is simple: help people understand something useful and know what to do with it.

Laura Thomae Young, Nashville speaker, author and teacher

Experience

Decades of explaining ideas to real people.

Laura has more than 30 years of Bible teaching and speaking experience and more than 15 years of professional training experience. She has led Bible studies, classes, keynotes, workshops, seminars, youth groups, women’s groups, writers’ groups and community programs.

Selected settings include East Side Writers’ Group in Nashville, the Southern Christian Writers Conference and Nashville-area Chamber of Commerce programs.

She is also a published author of adult nonfiction and children’s books. That writing work now supports several of her speaking directions, including Adulting Like a Boss, author visits and a new faith-journaling book in development.

A more personal side

Warm, practical and comfortable talking to people where they are.

Laura’s public work is serious about useful content without needing to feel stiff. That tone fits a church retreat, a young-adult workshop, a school visit or a writers’ group in different ways.

The photo with Val belongs here for the same reason: a speaker site should show the person an organizer is inviting into the room, not only a list of credentials.
